Claims: This anti-acne pack is a fine solution for oily and sensitive skin. The anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties of clove help reduce acne and pimples. it exfoliates blemished skin, making it appear healthier and cleaner. Presence of ginseng root extract reduces inflammation, swelling and even early signs of ageing.

Availability: It’s easily available on Amazon.

Packaging: It comes in a white plastic tub with a bright blue lid. I think that’s the standard packaging for all Beauty Origins products.

Smell: It smells like clove but its a very beautiful scent, it’s not overpowering or too faint, it’s just right and I like how it smells. The fragrance lasts for a few minutes but isn’t a bother at all.

My Experience: Among all the products that I have received from this brand this was the one I was most excited about. I tried it as soon as I received it (after doing a patch test of course) since I could see the beginning of a huge pimple that day. The kind of pimple that takes days to fully form and is very very painful. The one that feels like it covers up all your face and is red and almost has a mind of its own. The one that takes days to stop aching and even more days to completely go away. Immediately after opening the lid I was hit with a soft scent of cloves and the soft pink colour of the mask was so beautiful. I applied a thin layer and kept it on for some 10-12 minutes until the mask was fully dry and then washed it off.

Even as I was washing it off I could feel that my skin was softer than before. I dried my face and touched my skin and it felt so so so soft that I thought maybe I didn’t wash the mask properly and a layer was still left on my face so I got makeup remover and used that to clean my face. However, nothing came on that cotton, my face was as clean as it could be and silky soft, I kid you not, soft like a baby’s bottom. My pimple felt a little less red and less painful as before. To be honest I could not stop touching my face because it felt smoother than I have ever felt in months.

The next day my pimple didn’t hurt as much and was subdued as well. I used it as a spot treatment that day and applied only on the pimple. my pimple reduced in size before even fully forming was painless by the third day and was completely settled by the fourth. It just felt like a bump now and left a black mark behind but no more pain or growing larger. I have applied the mask since then a couple more times and even as I’m writing this, I had the mask on. My skin always feels softer after washing this mask off but not as soft as it did the first time I used it.

This mask had become my favourite and I don’t think I’ll ever stop purchasing this. It’s affordable, effective, economical, amazing and great for my skin.

Pros:

• It’s super affordable and is currently on discount.
• Easy to apply and wash off
• Works well on Acne-prone/0ily/combination skin
• Smells good
• Makes the skin super soft
• Didn’t break me out

Cons:

• None that I can find but I do wish the packaging was more eco-friendly, though at this price I can’t really complain.

Will I Repurchase: Yes! Yes! Yes! This was a lucky find but it’s going to have a permanent place in my vanity now.

Do I Recommend: YES! It’s amazing and definitely worth a try. At this price, you have got nothing to lose but everything to gain.

Overall summary: 5/5. It’s a mask that made it’s way into my top 5 wash off masks from the very use itself. From it’s colour to it’s smell to its effect, everything about this mask is great. I honestly cannot stop gushing about it.

Smell: It has a very pleasant and light fragrance which is slightly floral.

My Experience: I have been using this serum daily for the past two weeks. I used it on my face for pigmentation and shoulders for acne scars. This serum didn’t break me out or made my skin oily. It absorbed within seconds and didn’t leave any greasiness or heaviness behind. It helped with evening out my skin. The slight pigmentation I had on my face is almost gone it’s hardly even noticeable anymore.

Though I love it more because of what it did for the acne scars on my shoulders. They were recent scars and were almost black in nature, very prominent as well. I used this serum religiously and I could see them lightening. At first, I thought it was wishful thinking but I soon realized my eyes weren’t playing a trick on me. The scars are almost light brown now. They aren’t completely gone but have lightened up a lot thanks to this serum. I’m going to keep using it until they are completely gone.

Pros:

• Comes in an Apothecary bottle
• Two drops are enough to cover the whole face so definitely value for money
• Even though it’s an oil-based serum it’s surprisingly non-greasy
• It didn’t break me out
• It works great on lightening scars

Cons:

• It is a little pricey but definitely worth it.

Will I Repurchase: Probably. I’d love to buy it again but something tells me I might not need to.

Do I Recommend: Yes, if you are looking for something to help with acne scars do give this a try

Overall summary: 5/5 It’s a good serum to help with acne scars and pigmentation. The Ingredients present in it makes it really effective.

Packaging: It comes in a box of 15 pads, each pad is packed individually in a paper bag which can be later used to throw the pad. The packaging is elegant and discreet as well.

My Experience: I have been using the same brand of pads for years now since that was the only one I was comfortable with but after learning how much waste this generates and how harmful this waste is to the environment I had to switch. It wasn’t easy since the few pads I had tried over the years didn’t really feel comfortable or were not absorbent enough for heavy flow. It was during this time I saw an ad for Laiqa pads and thought of giving them a try. I asked the brand and they agreed to send me a sample to try. The pads arrived discreetly packed in a brown carton in a less than a week.

I tried the combo pack because it presented the opportunity to try all the pads at the same time plus its highly convenient as well since I don’t have to but different pads for different flow days.

The Ultra Thin Day Pads are really comfortable and perfect for day time, the pad is soft and made of cotton. It doesn’t itch or irritate at all. It worked great during heavy flow as well and thankfully I didn’t have any stains on my dress as well.

The CosyFluff Night Pads are my favourite now. They are super comfortable and have a wide back which prevents staining during the night. They don’t itch or smell and work well with heavy flows as well.

Pros:

• Different pads for day and night and different flow days
• Panty liners for spotting
• Discreet packaging
• Comes with disposable discreet paper bags
• Eco-friendly
• Comfortable and light to wear

Cons:

• If you try them and find one let me know and I’ll add it here because I could not find one.

Will I Repurchase: Yes! It might be a little costly than the regular pads we get in the market but what’s a few extra bucks if its to save the environment.

Do I Recommend: Yes absolutely. Please give them a try, the earth will thank you for it.

Overall summary: My Laiqa pads are comfortable and eco-friendly as well. The different sizes ensure that you get something for every day of the cycle. It’s a small step towards saving the environment but a step nonetheless.

Shelf life: The brand says to change the comb when the aroma of the neem wood is gone. I’m assuming it’ll be between 9-12 months. 

Cleaning the comb is easy as well. Clean the comb with cotton dipped in Neem oil.
Types: Healthy Ideas Simply Natural Neem wood combs come in a wide variety of types and they have a comb for everything and everyone. You will find basic combs which have both wide and close set teeth, the comfort one for detangling your hair. The traveller which is perfect for traveling. These combs can be used by both men and women.

My experience: I have been using these combs for a month and it has worked so well for my scalp. I received these combs from the brand to try. They are the regular, basic and comfort.

Regular is the one I reach out the most for. It’s easy and comfortable to hold. It’s lightweight and has a smooth surface. The bristles are soft and soothing on the scalp, it’s like getting a massage everytime you brush your hair. The experience is just amazing. It helped me control the frizz to a great extent. It reduced the itchiness and dandruff on the scalp and made my hair more healthy. I suffer from headaches frequently but I noticed that the intensity of the headaches reduced since I started using the comb. In a few days the frequency reduced as well.

I gave the basic one to my mother and even she was impressed by the comb. She said that it not only helped reduce the itchiness but helped her control hairfall as well. 


Comfort is perfect for detangling the hair. It’s wide set bristles easily detangles the hair without pulling them. It effortlessly removes all the tangles from hair.
These combs are an eco-friendly alternative to plastic combs. By using Neem wood combs I’m taking a small step towards reducing my carbon footprint.

• I’m always afraid of dropping it by accident and breaking it. I’m not sure if it will break easily or not since I have been really careful with it so far. But it’s a fear I have.

Overall: 5/5. I’m really impressed with these combs and will never go back to plastic combs ever again. These eco friendly combs are amazing.
Will I repurchase: Always. After seeing what these healthy ideas neem wood combs can do, there is no way I can go back to plastic combs.
Do I recommend: Yes! If you want a healthy scalp do give these neem wood combs a try.

My experience: I have been using this soap for a few weeks now. It’s a clear orange color glycerine soap which lathers easily. The aroma is refreshing and makes taking a bath an experience in itself. The orange fragrance always remind me of my childhood. The castor oil present in the soap makes it moisturizing and I don’t feel my skin stretching due to dryness. This soap helped lighten my tan as well. It didn’t fade away completely but there is a noticeable difference. It doesn’t leave behind any film on the skin. It helps maintain the moisture balance of the skin. Though I use a moisturizer afterwards to keep my skin soft, this soap unlike others doesn’t make me reach for it instantly. After bath my skin is soft and smooth. I have been using it for three weeks and there is still a decent amount of it left so it doesn’t melt easily as well. It cleans effectively without drying out the skin.
Pros:

Smell: The best thing about it is it’s smell. It’s smells like Wet earth and I’m intoxicated by that fragrance. It’s a bit strong so people with sensitive noses might have a problem with it. Though the fragrance doesn’t stay, it always reminds me of first rain and is a very soothing experience.
My experience: I used this facewash for weeks and loved the effect it had on my skin. My skin was soft, squeaky clean, smooth, free from dirt and impurities. Dead sea mud flushed all the toxins out giving the skin a healthy glow and brightening it up. Though if I ever used more than a pea size amount my skin felt a bit dry. So I strongly suggest to only use a pea size amount of it. Take the required amount in your palm, lather it and apply it on your face. It lathers easily and doesn’t leave a sticky residue behind on the face. It kept my skin oil free for a long time which is really amazing. It didn’t break me out as well and my skin loved the effects of dead sea mud.

My experience– I started using this oil in my diffuser during my exams and it helped my brain to concentrate a bit more. The aroma is refreshing and makes you more alert. One of the major benefits of this oil is that it helps in concentration and reducing anxiety and depression. It’s refreshing aroma makes me feel calm and soothed. Despite its various benefits in skincare and haircare, I prefer using this oil in aromatherapy. It spread within minutes and lasts for a while.
Mix two-three drops on Lemongrass Essential oil in water in your diffuser and feel the magic spread. It fills the room with its amazing citrusy fragrance which isn’t overpowering or irritating. It also keeps the mosquitoes at bay.

Overall– 5/5. Love the benefits of this oil and will always keep one in my Essential oils collection


Will I repurchase– Yes! It helps in concentration which I seriously lack when I’m trying to study ;P
Do I recommend– Yes! Give this lemongrass Essential oil from Urvinaturals a try to help improve your concentration and for the wide variety of benefits it offers for hair and skin.
